The following aspects can slow down your chances of achieving prompt placement:

• Entry documentation is incomplete or inaccurate.
• You don't know when vacancies are likely to become available.
• You're not unaware of the importance of submitting applications to more than one selected residential care facility to increase your chances of securing a placement as quickly as possible.
• You haven't got anyone advocating on your behalf with a preferred care facility in your area to capitalise on a vacancy if it does become available.
